The SpongeGar movement was a server dispute in the Old Spongebob Episodes Discord, centering the notable user, SpongeGar. The dispute began when SpongeGar announced free housing and other progressive reforms if he was elected as mod, with the slogans "If Sponge, only Gar!" and "The bob got me crunk.". Notable pro-SpongeGar members include, Literally Karkat Vantas, Spongebob Squarepants, Mr. Vortex, Spork, Cuberto, and Nuts. Notable anti-SpongeGar members include, Vara, and Slenderslime. SpongeGar eventually stepped down, leaving Spongebob Squarepants as the new candidate, and Literally Karkat Vantas as the vice president. The movement ended with the Nuking of the Old Spongebob Episodes Discord.
